Meet Sarah
My name is Sarah (she/her) and I am excited that you are thinking about therapy today. Considering starting or continuing therapy is one of the bravest things someone can do. Kudos to you for taking that first step!
A little about me: I am a therapist based in San Antonio, TX but thanks to telehealth, I can see clients in any part of Texas! I am passionate about helping clients discover their strengths and unique gifts to help them overcome whatever obstacle they are facing. I truly believe everyone already has the potential inside of them to feel healthy, happy, and fulfilled in their life - I am here just to be a patient and friendly guide in that journey inward. I strive to make everyone feel comfortable in my (virtual) office, whether it is your first time in therapy or you are a lifelong therapy fan.
In therapy sessions, I am flexible to client’s needs both in their goals and how they want to get there. I have some clients who prefer to be more structured and practice certain skills while I have other clients who prefer to make the session feel more like a free-flowing conversation. I have been trained in EMDR, CBT, DBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, CPT, among other modalities. I come from a trauma-informed, gender and LGBTQ+ affirming, intersectional, neuroscience-based approach to therapy with my goal to make all feel welcome in this space with me. I want therapy to be a place where we can safely explore the parts of ourselves that seem too painful or too shameful in order to get to a place of healing.
